Palak puri/palak poori/fried spinach bread

Palak Puri (Fried Spinach Bread)
*Spinach flavoured Fried Indian bread made from spinach puree,whole wheat flour and spices*

Ingredients:-

1   palak/spinach bunch 
3 cups whole wheat flour
2   tbsp  garlic cloves
3,4  green chillies
 salt to taste
 1.5 tsp carom seeds/ova/ajwain
1 .5 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp sesame seeds (til)
oil for deep frying

Method:-

How to make palak puri:-

1. Wash spinach leaves with water and chop it.You can take tender stems also.
2. Take spinach leaves& stems  in a blender.Add garlic cloves,green chillies & blend into a fine paste.
3. Take this spinach paste in a wide bowl or parat.
Add 1 cup wheat flour ,carom seeds(ova),sesame seeds,cumin seeds,salt and mix it.Now add remaing flour (little at a time) and make a firm  dough.
4.The dough can be made without water.Spinach Puree  is enough to make a dough here,but only if needed, use little water.
5. Rest the dough for 5-10 mins.
6. Heat the oil in a deep vessel/kadhai.Oil should be hot but not smoking.
7. While the oil is being heated,start making puris.
8. Divide the dough into lemon sized balls & roll it into a small circle by dusting flour or by  applying  oil to rolling pin/board.The puri should be of medium thickness.
9.  When the oil is hot enough,fry the puris one by one on medium heat.(Puris puff up).
10. Transfer the fried puri on a  paper towel to drain excess oil.
